Pomellata Goats, originating from the Campania region of Italy, are a distinctive breed renowned for their unique morphological and economic characteristics. These goats are often raised near the ConSDABI (Consortium for Experimentation, Divulgation, and Application of Innovative Biotechniques) in Circello, Benevento, where they thrive in the local environment.

Morphologically, Pomellata Goats are characterized by their moderate weight, with males typically weighing between 60 to 65 kilograms, while females range from 50 to 55 kilograms. Their robust build and balanced proportions make them well-suited for various agricultural purposes.

In addition to their physical attributes, Pomellata Goats exhibit notable economic traits that contribute to their value in farming practices. They are known for their high fertility rates and efficient reproduction, which play a significant role in their economic viability for breeders. Moreover, Pomellata Goats are valued for their ability to adapt to local environmental conditions, making them resilient and suitable for sustainable farming practices.

With their unique combination of morphological and economic characteristics, Pomellata Goats are prized assets in the agricultural landscape of the Campania region, embodying the resilience and productivity essential for sustainable livestock management.
